Autism and Parental Blame

Parent Blame is not simply a problem encountered by families when dealing with Children’s Services.  It is, therefore, very welcome that West Midlands ADASS (the Association of Directors of Adult Services) is supporting a research project with Birmingham University that seeks to understand how parents of autistic children experience parental blame when they approach health, education, and care services for support’.

The research will be based on the analysis of a survey of parents as well as individual interviews.  For a flyer explaining the details of the research programme – click here – and to access the on-line survey – click here.
