Coronavirus: WG Guidance for children’s social services

The Welsh Government has issued guidance concerning the role of children’s social services during the emergency.

It’s primary focus is on child protection and ‘looked after children’.

Welcome is its emphasis on encouraging ‘a flexible and pragmatic approach to maintaining support for looked after and vulnerable children’ during the emergency.

In other resects the guidance is fairly predictable – and (sadly) it makes no mention of the specific needs of disabled children and their families.
